Low at the shoulder, wide at the base, the Carafe Suspendue sits the way water settles rather than the way a vessel is usually built upward.
Below the shoulder, the clay is left exactly as it came from the kiln — coarse, grogged, matte enough to hold a fingerprint. Above it, a celadon glaze runs glassy and cool, pooling unevenly where the heat found it first.
